The Unwrapped Concept

Unwrapped is a unique not-for-profit organisation, determined to help Australian artists and designers out of the office-job rut and into a creative career of their own. Read more about us...

Our concept allows new designers to test the commercial viability of their products, while more established designers can focus on building brand identity and road-testing their latest ideas.

For early-career designers we provide that essential, and often elusive, first opportunity for exposure. Unwrapped aims to bridge the chasm between the classroom and the marketplace, generating interest from retail buyers and building creative networks with other industry professionals.

Unwrapped will help you grow

We understand what its like to build a creative business from the ground up: working through the night until you can't see straight; stitching buttons until your fingers ache; answering emails until you forget how to spell your own name. And we know how much you want to succeed.

The good thing is, you're not alone - there are hundreds of creative and talented individuals going through a similar process, trying to craft their own dreams. Our aim is to bring you all together, give you some time in the sun and let you feel your way in a low-risk, supportive environment.

Unwrapped is where it all comes together

Our marketplace events are designed to give you exposure to the front-line: the people buying your products. You'll come away with a clear sense of where you are heading: what's working and what's not. You might do this two, three or five times before you feel you are really onto something.
